About Monday.Com

monday.com is a work platform that allows teams to manage their work and workflows in one place. It offers a range of products that can be customized to meet the needs of different teams and use cases. Here are some of the key products:

  • monday Work Management: A customizable workflow management product that allows teams to manage tasks, projects, and processes to fuel team collaboration and productivity at scale.
  • monday Sales CRM: An all-in-one CRM product that allows business owners and sales teams to manage all aspects of their sales cycle and customer data in one centralized place.
  • monday Dev: A product built for software development teams to collaborate on product roadmaps, sprints, release plans, customer feedback, backlogs, and more.

These products are built on top of the monday.com Work OS, a platform that empowers teams to build, customize, and optimize their workflows while keeping team collaboration at the core of everything. The products are designed to address the needs of general workflow management, CRM, and software development, all while maintaining the ability for full connectivity between the products under the same account.

Each product comes with core boards essential to the product's workflow and certain "core" column types that can be really useful for that given workflow. When adding a new column, users will first find a list of core columns which they can easily add to their board to enhance their workflow. As always, users can customize their board to include extra columns that will fit their workflow needs.

monday.com is optimized for marketing, CRM, project management, sales, design, software, and HR professionals. With their pre-developed templates and frameworks, teams can build a monday.com board to elevate their data, team transparency, and planning. It's a comprehensive solution for teams looking to streamline their work processes and enhance productivity.

Monday.Com Pros & Cons

monday.com is a cloud-based open platform that allows businesses to create their own work management tools and applications. It's excellent for small and midsized businesses (SMBs) because of its intuitive and visually appealing interface.

Pros of monday.com:

  • Forever free plan available for up to two seats.
  • Modern, intuitive and visual dashboard.
  • Highly customizable with 200-plus templates for creating boards and automations.
  • Integrates with a ton of third-party apps.
  • Excellent customer support.
  • Its desktop app works great.
  • Animated fireworks any time you mark a task complete.

Cons of monday.com:

  • Confusing pricing plans because of per-seat (user) pricing.
  • Minimum team size of three for paid plans.
  • Free trial is only 14 days, whereas most project management platforms give 30.
  • Agile sprints are clunky.
  • Must have a Pro account for time tracking.

It's important to note that while monday.com is easy to get started with, users may need some time to fully leverage advanced features and customization options effectively. Some users find that monday.com's simplicity becomes a limitation when managing complex and large-scale projects, as it may lack certain project management features offered by more specialized tools. While monday.com offers reporting features, some users may find them less robust compared to dedicated business intelligence tools. As a cloud-based software, monday.com requires a stable internet connection. Offline access is limited, which can be a drawback for some users. While monday.com integrates with time tracking apps, it doesn't have native time tracking features, which can be a drawback for organizations that heavily rely on tracking billable hours.

  • To cancel a subscription, an admin must complete the cancellation while accessing monday.com in a web browser.
  • If eligible, a prorated refund will automatically be initiated after completing the cancellation process. Refunds can take between 7-10 business days to appear on a credit card statement.

  • If a yearly subscription is paid for and the account is cancelled after the first 30 days have passed, access to the account will continue until the end of the year that's already been paid for. At the end of the year, which completes the billing cycle, the plan will not renew and access to the account will no longer be available.

  • A yearly account is paid for and more than 30 days have passed since payment.
